Doctoral Researcher Anas Akhtar Invited for a talk at GRS/GRC Electrochemistry 2026

We are pleased to announce that Anas Akhtar, doctoral researcher in our group, was selected as an invited speaker at the Electrochemistry Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) 2026 and additionally presented a poster at the subsequent Electrochemistry Gordon Research Conference (GRC) 2026, held from January 3–9, 2026, in Ventura, California, USA.
The Gordon Research Seminar and Conference are among the most prestigious international scientific meetings in electrochemistry, known for their emphasis on cutting-edge research, intensive discussion, and close interaction between early-career researchers and leading experts in the field. Anas presented his doctoral research on electrochemical atomic force microscopy (EC-AFM) for operando investigation of cobalt oxide–based electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER).
Participation in the GRS and GRC provided an exceptional opportunity for scientific exchange, in-depth discussions, and networking with the international electrochemistry community. The research stay and conference participation were made possible through the PR.INT scholarship awarded by the RUB Research School, with additional financial support provided by CRC/TRR 247, highlighting the strong commitment to internationalization and early-career researcher development.
We congratulate Anas on this achievement and are pleased to see our research represented at this high-profile international forum.
